ABOUT THE COVER

In 35 years of publishing, there has seldom been an unrestored vintage John Deere Tractor featured on the cover of Two-Cylinder, but this 4050 Hi-Crop — equipped as it was when retired from service in Florida — may be too interesting as is to mess with. Besides, it runs just fine. Bob Herring of Iowa is the owner.
The trend toward leaving some exceptional tractors in original condition is increasing, which is very much appreciated by many John Deere enthusiasts intent on maintaining originality and preserving physical history, often including leaving modifications and aftermarket additions in place.

Two-Cylinder (ISSN 0899-2258) is the official publication for members of the Two-Cylinder Club®, and is available to anyone interested in the preservation of John Deere Tractors and related products.

The Two-Cylinder Club was chartered in Iowa in 1985 as a nonprofit service, educational, and recreational organization; and extends an invitation of membership to individuals interested in the preservation of John Deere Tractors and Implements and their important role in our agricultural heritage.

Two-Cylinder magazine is published bimonthly by Two-Cylinder, Ltd., 618 G Avenue, Grundy Center, IA 50638. Periodicals postage paid at Grundy Center, Iowa, and additional mailing offices.
